Frequently Asked Questions
Why see a chiropractor?
Chiropractic is a way to help you get the most our of your body, naturally. By adjusting the spine and nervous system we can help to alleviate pain (acute or chronic), improve regular bodily functions (such as digestion, breathing, fertility, hormonal regulation), improve sleep and recovery, prevent and remedy injury, correct posture, and slow down the effects of ageing on the spine.
While getting adjusted is effective at relieving pain, chiropractic is great for preventing injury and being proactive about your health.

Dr. Alexa’s youngest client was 1 week old for assistance with head shape (her first outing after birth as mum was adjusted all through her pregnancy!) and her oldest has been 92.
She also has experience adjusting those with paralysis, complicated neurological conditions (MS, stroke rehab, MND, fibromyalgia), wheel-chair bound, post surgical recovery, pregnant mummas, chronic pain, acute injuries… and more.
Chiropractic care gets a bad rap for people having to ‘keep coming back’ forever. The truth is, there is no one magic pill, surgery, or injection that will keep you pain free forever.
Chiropractic is a natural health care that can provide you with long-term structural improvement and protection of the spine and nervous system if you want it, but you can also use it as a short term solution to pain.
Do I have to keep going to a chiropractor forever?
Generally flexible and comfortable clothing is best but whatever you are most comfortable in is ideal.
You do not have to undress for appointments at any stage though may be asked to remove bulky jumpers for initial assessment.
